True Leadership Transforms Lives

We invite aspiring leaders to participate in an intimate and highly interactive course that offers key training and skills that prepare you to lead a team during your first months as a Facility Medical Director (FMD) or Assistant Facility Medical Director (AFMD). This program prepares you for additional leadership courses, and graduates take their new strengths and opportunities back to their team members.

We encourage Physician and Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) leaders to attend LEAD soon after assuming their leadership roles. This course teaches new leaders more about TeamHealth, best practices and processes, tools and skills and provides an orientation to key leaders who can support participants’ leadership and practice. Program attendees learn the expectations, responsibilities and other critical TeamHealth initiatives that will best prepare them to create better experiences for patients, partners and clinicians.

The CDA program truly transforms leaders by providing opportunities for clinical and operations leaders to learn advanced training and skills needed to serve as mentors and coaches for other clinical leaders. CDA also offers skills and training that can help transform practices with a focus in leadership, recruitment, metrics and client performance.

Founded in 2016, the Women in Leadership program encourages and transforms women through collaboration and strategies to support TeamHealth’s women leaders. Clinical and operational members join a community of continuous learning to help women gain new skills and reach their goals through training and mentorship opportunities.

TeamHealth Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) directors comprise the National APC Council, which represent all specialties offered by TeamHealth. The council advises leadership on best practices for APCs and the development and implementation of recruiting, retention and engagement strategies. The National APC Council sponsors advocacy initiatives to promote the advancement of APCs within the organization and the healthcare industry to strengthen the overall profession.

Clinical and operational leaders come together each year to participate in the TeamHealth National Medical Leadership Conference (NMLC). NMLC regional and national sessions provide updates on TeamHealth, industry news, leadership skills and course offerings. The annual conference nurtures relationships, shares motivations and develops collaboration among TeamHealth leaders. NMLC attendees take their new knowledge back to their facilities where they share updates and coach team members on new skills.
